Use Advanced Filter to copy information to another worksheet

Before using Advanced Filter to copy information to another worksheet, you must first select the worksheet you want to copy the information to, instead of the worksheet which currently has the information.  If you don't have your cursor on the correct worksheet you will get an error message that says you can only paste the data to the active worksheet.

1. Put your cursor in the cell you want to paste the filtered information to

2. Click on the Data Menu and select Filter

3. Click on Advanced Filter

4. Click on the box for Copy to another location

5. Select the List Range (you will need to change worksheets)

6. Select the Criteria (if you have set this up)

7. Select the Copy to range (you will need to click on the cell you put your cursor into)

8. Click on Unique Records only, if required

9. Click OK
