Get a list of unique values from a particular column

You can use the Advanced Filter option to extract a list of unique values from a column.  You do not need to have row headings set up.

1. Click on the Data menu and choose Filter

2. Click on Advanced Filter

3. If you get an error message that says the column headings cannot be established, click OK.

4. Click on Copy to another location

5. Select the List Range as the column of information

6. Select the cell to copy the unique list to

7. Click in the box for Unique Records Only

8. Click OK
